Legal Studies minor
Interested in a career in law, government, public service, business, or criminal justice? At 桃花视频, the Legal Studies minor combines legal and constitutional knowledge with research, writing, critical thinking, and argumentation skills that prepare you for law school and careers beyond the legal profession.
Learning goes beyond the classroom. You’ll work closely with faculty who hold law degrees and are invested in your success, with support from a dedicated Pre-Law Advisor and an online Pre-Law Guide. Through case briefing, legal opinion writing, analysis of hypothetical cases, and presentations of case law and Supreme Court decisions, you’ll learn to read complicated materials, identify claims and supporting evidence, construct and evaluate arguments, consider opposing positions, and communicate your analysis clearly and succinctly.
Whether you plan to attend law school or pursue a career in government, business, criminal justice, communications, or the nonprofit sector, 桃花视频鈥檚 Legal Studies minor gives you the skills and experience to succeed.
The chosen set of courses is designed to be consistent with the recommendations from the American Bar Association and the Law School Admission Council.
